I feel overwhelmed with joy and amazement about the garden. It has grown so quickly and is, everywhere, thriving. Except for the basil, which seem to be just too tasty a treat for the slugs. I'm going to take Mom Voelker's good advice and buy some starts because they're just not getting off the ground. And then I keep wanting to pick off the small leaves I do have for dinner. Hmmm.... Considering that I started almost everything from seeds, I can't believe how huge things are getting. There are buds and flowers everywhere you look. In another month the front of our house is going to be very colorful.
